Skinny Jeans and your nerves

Neurologists are seeing more number of patients with Meralgia Paresthetica and skinny jeans are implicated as the culprit. The condition is characterised by tingling and burning pain in the outer side of the thigh and is due to pressure on the Lateral Femoral Cutaneous Nerve. Symptoms are increased by wearing tight belts, work belts or tight waist clothes. Wearing high healed shoes along with tights makes it worse by tilting the pelvis forward and increasing the pressure on the nerve.
